the cat saw me dance
Inspired by a true event:
(I was having my dance break, when I saw the neighbor's cat stare at me with wide eyes. I said Hi while pressing my hands on my heart and went back to dancing. The cat watched me for a bit...maybe with endearing eyes, maybe just curious ...or maybe they wanted to study whatever i was doing haha).
Lessons from this piece: I used watercolors for this artwork. At first, it felt messy. Until I realized that I dont have experience with watercolors. I usually use other kinds of brushes. Therefore, I'm more used to those brushes. But art IS about experimenting and trying new things out...it's all about exploring and less about making it look "good". How many times do we miss out on seeing how beautiful something can be? Just because we are focusing on the wrong thing? Some brushes will feel more comfortable than others because you like them more, because they feel like "your style" or simply because you are more familiar with them. Itcan be so fun to challenge ourselves with new brushes...this is not only about painting, I guess...I guess this is about life too. Art lessons can be applied to life because life is the ultimate kind of art, the one our Souls are mastering.
