A Ray from the Inner Realm

If you like someone’s blog, you should probably tell them

I feel like bearblog is a community with huge potential for wholesome interactions to develop. We are used to social media where people are not really shy about their own opinions and sometimes they’re also mean about them, for no reason at all. But that’s because much of what happens there is Ego Talk, just egos fighting.

There’s something so refreshing here. It is healing to check out blogs, enjoy what they write and then read nice comments on their guestbooks. The variety of topics is fascinating, you find original perspectives, you learn something new and even if there’s something you don’t agree with, you just tell yourself “that’s part of their experience and I respect that”, close the tab and move on with your life. I personally like exploring others' blogs, knowing all the time and energy that goes into building one.

I recently found a brilliant blog that I truly enjoy reading; every post really spoke to me in ways I cannot describe. You just feel it in your heart when that happens and I loved everything about it, from the writing style and content, to how beautifully organized its design is. It’s like when you’re a kid and you find the most beautiful shell or rock on the riverbank/seashore. I know this is how many people may feel when checking out the discovery feed, so that’s why I’m writing about it. What’s even greater was seeing it trend on the discovery feed with a real gem of a post, it’s good to see your fave blogs get the spotlight they deserve. I’m all about supporting others and letting them know, I just never did it so directly here, so I resolved to make my first “contact” and now I feel like I’ve met a kindred spirit!

It is a blessing to meet like-minded people on your path, to have the opportunity to share a small moment, a silent nod, a heartfelt acknowledgment. This is how meaningful connections are made; they may turn into genuine friendship or not, but it feels good as bloggers to support each other, to let that humanity come through, even from a screen, even if it’s a one-time thing! I have already seen people have warm exchanges on bearblog, I just didn’t know it could happen for me as well. You might be here to express your thoughts, to share your innermost authentic self and that’s alright, however you can absolutely give yourself permission to make friends. So, if you need some courage to genuinely mail someone and say a quick “hey, what you write is awesome”, this is your encouraging sign to do it, especially if you're shy! It may come as a surprise but you may find a friend there welcoming you!
